During the 2000’s I made a number of records in the strange fusion space known as ‘classical crossover’ beginning with several albums on (Decca/Universal) with controversial ‘sex and violins’ all girl glam string quartet Bond who hit the headlines in 2001 for mostly non-musical reasons (see pic), though we achieved multiple platinum sales (over 4 million albums) and considerable worldwide success. Bond is purportedly the biggest selling string quartet of all time.
